Opening of the LaLux residential building in Belval North
A few days ago, a new residential building for students by the "La Luxembourgeoise" foundation was completed in Belval North on Pir Kremer-Strasse. The building contains a total of 45 residential units for Bachelor's and Master's students as well as PhD candidates at the University of Luxembourg. It was designed as a passive building in wood by the Kaell architecture firm, and complies with energy efficiency class AAA. The "La Luxembourgeoise" insurance company created its own foundation to carry out this project with socially staggered rents in order to enable students from lower-income households to study as well.
