Maison du Savoir: The tower will be finished
If you have visited the University construction site on Belval you will be surprised how quickly the “Maison du Savoir” is growing right now.
So far, construction of the 'Maison du Savoir' or 'House of Knowledge', the University’s main building in Esch/Belval, is still on schedule. Last week, the huge central tower reached floor 17. The 18th floor, which will also be the last one, is scheduled for the 21 st of January 2013. If everything goes according to plan, the whole shell of the Maison du Savoir will be finished end of January – in about seven weeks!
Already now, the impressive building can be spotted from afar. According to the construction plans, the tower will reach an overall height of exactly 83,795 meters . This means that the university will be higher than the nearby red BIL building, but lower than the blast furnaces.
