Construction of the OMNIA Tower site to commence

Erection of a tower crane – traffic restrictions
Over the next few days, construction work will begin on the new Omnia Tower, which will be connected to the Belval Plaza Shopping Centre 1. As part of the setting up of the construction site, a 55-metre high tower crane will be erected along with a mobile crane. In order to avoid restrictions for residents, users and suppliers are much as possible, the tower crane will be erected during the nights of 18/19.11, 19/20.11 and 20/21.11.2019 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.  The following road sections will be closed during this time:  
  • A section of Boulevard Porte de France between Boulevard du Jazz and Avenue du Swing
  • The intersection between Avenue du Swing, Avenue du Rock'n' Roll and Boulevard Porte de France
Traffic will be diverted along the Avenue du Jazz or the Avenue de la Fonte/ Avenue des Hauts-Fourneaux (see map to download). The diversions will be signposted accordingly.  Access to the multi-storey car parks Belval Plaza 1 and 2 will be available continuously. All the roads will be reopened to traffic promptly at 6 a.m.  The 55-metre-high Omnia Tower will have 15 floors. While the upper floors will contain a total of 106 residential units, the ground floor and first floor are reserved for retail and/or offices.
