The Square Mile car park will close
Next Saturday, 12 June 2021, the temporary "Square Mile" car park in the center of Belval will close its doors for good. Originally planned in 2008 for a 5-year period, it has provided over 950 parking spaces for the last 13 years.
The road infrastructure works in Central Square, currently occupied by the public car park, will start this Monday 14 June.
As part of the initial construction work on the new area, parts of the temporary car park have already been gradually closed over the past few months and subscribers have also been informed of the upcoming complete closure.
There is still plenty of parking available in Belval: former subscribers and new visitors will find alternatives in the Belval P&R behind the Belval-University station, which has a capacity around 1,600 spaces, as well as in the other public public car parks in the district, such as the car park in front of the Maison du Savoir (see also the overview on: https://www.belval.lu/en/belval/getting-here-and-parking )
