This modern, multi-storey car park has 1622 spaces for rail passengers
The new CFL car park at Belval-Université station has been open since 1st October. This modern car park has 1,622 spaces on five storeys, including some designated disabled parking spaces, as well as bays reserved for women or families. A roofed pedestrian bridge on the third floor of the car park leads directly to the station platforms. The whole area is covered by closed-circuit TV, for safety. The car park is open 24 hours a day and costs 0.60 euro per hour. Holders of a valid season ticket for public transport (CFL season ticket, M-pass, Flexway-TER Lorraine, carte de train or OekoCard Schweich) can park for free. Information is also available from the CFL counter in the mobility centre of Belval-Université station. The new Park & Rail, together with the neighbouring bus station, a taxi stand, a short-term parking area, cycle paths and bicycle racks, creates a multimodal platform. In subsequent phases of development, it will be possible to increase the capacity at the car park to 4,000 spaces.
